Philly’s Old City Hall

They once wanted to tear down the building because it was considered an eyesore. Fortunately they couldn’t afford to. It’s an awesome goth-look (officially known as “the elaborate Victorian style referred to as French Second Empire”. Totally decadent, eerie, and commanding. An aggressive,  in-your-face contrast to post-modern towers nearby. I don’t like heights but I could spend hours in the observation tower atop the building at 548 feet above the ground.
