A dark and stormy night

Most writers are wary of using cliches.  If not when they first start writing, shortly after they give it to someone else to read.  The title of this post is a famous line which has been made fun of so many times .  It’s by Victorian novelist Edward George Earl Bulwer-Lytton. In his honor, this annual contest held for the worst first-line possible for an author to make a miss year’s winner is Garrison Spik, a 41-year-old communications director and writer.  Read his entry at this site http://www.bostonherald.com/news/national/west/view.bg?articleid=1112881&srvc=rss

And watch those clichés if you’re a writer.
